Dimethyl(2-oxo-2-phenylethyl)sulfanium bromide
Single crystals of the title compound, C(10)H(13)OS(+)·Br(-), were obtained from ethyl acetate/ethyl ether after reaction of acetophenone with hydro-bromic acid and dimethyl-sulfoxide. The carbonyl group is almost coplanar with the neighbouring phenyl ring [O-C-C-C = 178.9 (2)°]. The sulfanium group shows a trigonal-pyramidal geometry at the S atom. The crystal structure is stabil-ized by C-H⋯B...

In the title hydrated mol-ecular salt, C(11)H(14)N(3)O(+)·Br(-)·H(2)O, the Br(-) anion is split and appears as two independent half-occupied Br(-) anions on twofold rotation axes. The dihedral angle between the phenyl ring and the mean plane of the 2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazole ring (r.m.s. devation = 0.014 Å) is 62.43 (7)°. In the crystal, the components are connected via O-H⋯Br and N-H⋯O hydrogen b...

In the cation of the title compound, C(7)H(7)N(2) (+)·Br(-), the nitrile group and the benzene ring are almost coplanar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0043 Å). In the crystal, the cations and anions are connected by inter-molecular N-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network parallel to (010).

In the title compound, C(15)H(12)O(3), the terminal phenyl rings make a dihedral angle of 86.09 (9)° with each other. In the crystal, a pair of inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming a dimer with an R(2) (2)(10) ring motif.

In the title organic-inorganic hybrid salt, C(6)H(14)N(+)·Br(-), N-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds link the cations and anions, forming extended hydrogen-bonded chains along the c axis.
